November 22 - Update

Dear PCI Students and Families,

During the early morning hours of November 22, 2022 the Portage la Prairie School Division received a report of a possible threat to the Portage Collegiate Institute. The threat had been communicated on a Social Media Platform.

As a result of this information, the decision was made to cancel classes out of an abundance of caution as police investigated the matter.

Following an investigation by local RCMP, it was determined that the threat was a hoax. The threat was not made by a PCI student.

Classes will resume today – Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1:22 (Period 5).

All division transportation (buses) will be running as normal at the end of the school day.
